Fall Sports History... In 1998, Phil Willard, a 1969 Chillicothe High School alumnus, succeeded CHS Hornets coaching legend, Bob Fairchild, as head coach. Fairchild had guided his teams to 307 career wins over 37 years. Willard guided his first six Hornets teams into the state playoffs, compiling respective records of 8-3, 9-2, 7-4, 9-2, 9-2, and 10-2. The Chillicothe Hornets football teams have won the Midland Empire Conference championship ten (10) times: 1970, 1986-1991, 1993-94, and 1996. 2008

Cross country coach Tim Riekena and his crew practice every day, reporting to the Jaycees shelter house just south of the Chillicothe Aquatic Center in Simpson Park. Close This Window Swim Team This was a winter sport in its first season (2005-06), but moved to a fall sport in its second season (2006-2007) and also its third season (2007-08). However, due to insufficient funding, the program has now been suspended for the 2008-2009 school year. Soccer
