Summer School; Classes Start May 27 With the end of the traditional school year coming to a close, enrollment is going strong for summer school in the Chillicothe R-2 School District. The summer school program starts Tuesday, May 27, and continues until June 27. The hours are 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Enrollments may be made now at the superintendent's office, Field School, Dewey School or the middle school. No one will be allowed to enroll on Tuesday, May 27. Those students going into kindergarten, 4th, or 5th, grades will be at Field School. Students going into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, will be at Dewey School. Students going into 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades are at the middle school. The morning is filled with the core subjects, such as reading, language arts, math and social studies. The afternoon is filled with fun activities such as: cup stacking, Zome Zones, retro recreation, computers, lifetime sports, and brick lab physics.
