An all-time favorite story will come to life on stage at Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center Friday as the CHS Players and the Chillicothe High School drama department perform
The Sound of Music. This perennial favorite features a cast of 50 students from kindergarten through 12th grade, including Abbey Pitchford (kneeling) who portrays Maria in this scene as she appears in front of the Mother Abbess (Vanessa Jones) and is surrounded by several other nuns from the abbey. The play is at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets ($10 for adults, $8 for students) are available at Citizens Bank & Trust, the Martin House and the high school office.

The CHS Players and drama department are gearing up for another show in the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. On Nov. 14-16 they will perform “The Sound of Music” with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, based on the book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse.
This perennial favorite features a cast of 50 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Tickets for preferred seating are now on sale at Citizens Bank, the Martin House and the high school office.
Performances are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.
