Chillicothe District-Wide Art Show Features Duck Stamp Award Winners and More

Chillicothe High School will host the 2009 district-wide art show in the Performing Arts Center foyer this Sunday, April 26, from 2 until 5 p.m., and again on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28, from 3 to 8 p.m. both days. More than 1,000 pieces of artwork created by students in grades first through 12th grades will be displayed.

Duck Stamp winners and other art will be on display. There were 660 entries from across the state in the Duck Stamp Program. The Federal Junior Duck Stamp supports conservation education through the arts and provides conservation education awards and scholarships.

CAPTION: Chillicothe R-2 School District teachers and volunteers, Dorlene Meneely, Margaret Vance and Linda Barnes, began construction of the district-wide art show in the Dickinson Performing Arts Center foyer today (Friday). The Art Show will be this Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m. and again on Monday, April 27, and Tuesday, April 28, from 3 until 8 p.m. both days.
