Chillicothe R-II School District Mission Statement

The Chillicothe R-II District’s mission is to provide a comprehensive educational program encompassing pre-kindergarten through grade 12 and post-secondary education, meeting the needs of each student to insure each student is ready to begin and succeed in school and graduate with the skills necessary to continue with his or her ambition.

Central Elementary School Vision Statement

Central Elementary School believes all students are challenged and empowered to achieve success through a variety of approaches, being academic, athletic, musical, technological, social, and intellectual. Our administrators, staff, students, parents, and community unite to provide a learning environment through:

  • open communication to encourage and promote students to become productive, life-long learners
  • enhanced programs and activities through an expanded curriculum focusing on literacy, problem solving, and creative thinking
  • a safe, attractive, drug-free facility which promotes a positive atmosphere
  • honesty, respect for others, integrity, and empathy which will prepare students to become responsible citizens in a global society
  • a teacher-student governing structure where the democratic decision-making process is exhibited.
